Philosophy and physics question the reality of time, the way we commonly accept its flow from past to future, sometimes portraying this passage of time as illusionary. Yet, we literally experience this passing of time on the clock-face, in the wrinkles of our skin, the ache in our bones, in our final mortgage payment or last week’s news. As astrologers, do we adequately consider the complexities of time that underscore each timing technique or forecast we use? This presentation will explore the enigma of time, its myths and symbols, it qualitative, emotive, and psychic contents – all part of the unseen facets of telling time astrologically.

My intention is to assist us to become mindful of what happens when we participate with timing techniques and symbols. Our journey will visit with some gods of time, some philosophers, physicists and poets, all who have explored its mysteries and synchronies in order to amplify how the qualitative and symbolic nature of time infuses our practice.
